Founded in 1886 by Krüger brothers Theodor and Ferdinand, Danish design company Brdr. Krüger was originally a woodturning workshop and is today a design production company where the family has been commitment to quality and craftsmanship for five generations.
The Ferdinand Lounge Chair is the outcome of the first design collaboration between Brdr. Krüger and OEO Studio. The result is a bold and distinctive design where the backrest and frame are effortlessly fused.
The design draws inspiration from the enduring qualities of mid-century Danish Modern – spiced, tweaked and given a little present-day zest. The vision has been to create a signature design that reflects contemporary sensibilities and unites classic values with new perspective. Woodturning is a key aspect of the structural design, a technique that combines classic craftsmanship with high-tech manufacturing.
